Reading & Listening by Moonrise

*Clockshop has adapted our public programs and artwork commissions from the Bowtie site along the LA River to the Los Angeles State Historic Park as part of our strategic response to state and local health ordinances for how public gatherings can take place during the COVID-19 pandemic.*

Listening by Moonrise is a quarterly music series, held at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on the eve of the full moon (or as close to it).

Listening by Moonrise features performances and immersive sound experiences with leading multi-disciplinary sound artists. This program offers listeners moments of reflection, connection, and joy while experiencing music and sound collectively within the context of a community-centered green space.

Reading by Moonrise is a quarterly reading series, formerly held at the Bowtie Project on the eve of the full moon.

Authors, journalists and playwrights were invited to read original and favorite texts along the banks of the LA River. Guests were encouraged to bring picnic items and blankets as they gather around the fire for s’mores and stories.
