Programmed with Eloy Neira, we are excited to welcome
Leyla Jay Bishop, Harpist
Michel Von Loh, Guitarist
Eloy Neira, Multi disciplinary musician and improviser
We hope to create an experience that provides moments of reflection, connection, and celebration within the context of a community centered green space.
This program has been adapted from our Reading by Moonrise program previously held at the Bowtie. We have moved to LA State Historic Park as part of our strategic response to state and local health ordinances around how public gatherings can take place during the Covid pandemic. Because audiences can no longer sit around a campfire in close proximity, and because there have been budget cuts which restrict how we can staff events at the Bowtie, we are shifting our programming to LA State Historic Park in Chinatown.
For Listening By Moonrise three musical performances will be stationed in different locations throughout the park and will perform for groups of no more than 6 people. Guests are invited to walk and listen for 10-15 minutes before moving on to the next performance. Each ticket is sold separately and guests will be put into socially distant groups of up to 6 to watch the performances. If you would like to attend with a group of your choosing, we recommend purchasing tickets together. There will be limited tickets available.
Since this event falls on the spookiest day of the year, costumes are strongly encouraged!
*If you are planning to attend, please follow current LA County COVID-19 safety guidelines, including wearing a face mask and observing physical distancing protocol. Two hand wash stations are available in the park.
