“Art and nature pair well as a way to bring people together,” Lydia and Tue said as they worked on floral arrangements. “It’s important for people to have free access to local parks because they provide space for inspiration. Over the past five years, this park has hosted concerts, festivals, farmers and artisan markets, protests, and science fairs. These events are some of my favorite places to be because they allow me to connect with so many different people. Parks are inclusive and make me feel like I am part of the community.”
