“It is important that everyone has access to public parks but especially the children,” Camilo said. “My kids always want to go to the park. They get home and it’s ‘the park, the park, the park!’ Parks are a space for kids to have fun, especially when they’re home from school, it’s an important distraction. I think parks are maybe strategically placed in places where the public needs them, where families need a place to be distracted on the weekends–neighborhoods where the houses are small, where families need to go someplace to play, or to make carne asada, it’s important to have a park nearby!”
