Every city has its own hidden gems, the kind that don’t show up in guidebooks but are woven into the local landscape and culture. This event is one of those gems—an experience that brings together the creative spirit and vibrant energy that makes Los Angeles so unique. It’s a space where culture, community, and creativity collide, telling story of who we are and what this city is all about.

We all have a love-hate relationship with this city. While LA’s car culture can be frustrating, parks offer us a special escape—a place where we can relax, enjoy open space, and share it with others. The outdoor setting is essential to this event’s experience, creating an environment where music and nature harmonize, allowing us to disconnect from the urban rush and reconnect with the community in a way that feels natural and organic.

The word ‘community’ can be hard to define in urban Los Angeles, or any big city, where our car culture often disconnects us from a continuous shared space, linking us only from point to point. I see fewer strangers in my daily life compared to when I lived elsewhere. But being at the park changes that. Simply being there—sharing open space, enjoying music together, and connecting with others—reminds us that we belong. It fosters a sense of support and unity, making us feel like part of something larger.
