Mina

Mina came to the kite festival with students from Greetings from South LA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the youth, educators and families of South-Central, Los Angeles. Their mission is to promote, advocate for, and foster experiences where the south-central l.a community can participate in arts and culture.

“I’ve lived in LA all my life. I have memories of going to parks with ducks everywhere. Even though they quacked constantly, I felt really calm and relaxed. Parks are important because they help you relieve stress and anxiety,” Mina said while holding the kite they made the week prior in preparation for the event.
