Janet

Janet brought her children to the kite festival, as a setting like a public park allows you “to enjoy free family activities without any pressure to plan your weekend. Parks make me feel like I am connected to LA and nature.” When asked why it was important parks exist in the future for her children she said, “for me parks are nostalgia. I was always the person that went out to parks for walks and things like that but it’s also a way for kids to get outside. Kids are glued to some type of monitor or technology. Parks are a way for them to get fresh air, run around and exert some type of energy. Preserving the parks allows future generations to connect with nature and one day have those nostalgic memories of their childhood here.”
