As I was driving here, I could see the kites from afar. Once I arrived, it felt like stepping into a cartoon. Having moved to Los Angeles less than a year ago, it’s been a unique experience to have kite collisions with strangers and literally untangle ourselves from one another, forming new connections in the process. I used to fly kites a lot with my dad when I was little, and unlocking this core childhood memory in my new home is truly special.
