In conjunction with artist Rosten Woo’s LA River Interpretive Signage Program, we invite you to join us for a conversation on Los Angeles’ future, both with and without water. Panelists include Hadley Arnold of the Arid Lands Institute, Kevin McLaughlin of the Metropolitan Water District and artist Rosten Woo.

Hadley Arnold was trained in art history at Harvard, served as Associate Editor at the Getty Center for the History of Art and the Humanities, received her M.Arch. from SCI-Arc, and has taught urban history, theory, and design studios at SCI-Arc, UCLA, and Woodbury.

Kevin McLaughlin is the Principal Public Affairs Representative at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California where he coordinates and administers the agency’s six-county community relations programs.  He performs public speaking and community outreach to non-profits both large and small, water agencies, educational institutions and other resource agencies.

Rosten Woo is an artist, designer, writer, and educator living in Los Angeles. He makes things that help people understand complex systems, re-orient themselves to places, and participate in group decision-making. Most of what he makes is designed with a specific context and community in mind. Collaboration is his primary skill.
