The Bowtie Project

Over the course of the summer, Clockshop will be doing outreach to form a small group of NELA youth that will become the Bowtie Youth Council, the first council of its kind in Los Angeles.

As the Bowtie moves closer to becoming the next official CA State Park, this council will meet monthly to discuss the ideas & priorities that they would like to see reflected in the Bowtie’s eventual park development.

Council members will get to hear from guest speakers in the field, meet like minded peers, and will eventually have the opportunity to present their ideas to California State Parks. The youth’s participation in this council will be a paid opportunity and a chance to advocate for the interests of youth in their communities.

Applications close July 31st. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact Lindsey Eichenberger at lindsey@clockshop.org.
